As I was trying to tell him that when people die it is as thought they are sleeping, never to wake up, and do not eat or drink. That the funeral was the process of burying someone under the ground one they had passed away. Now this topic would not have been so difficult to explain, or for him to understand, if I had not started watching "The Walking Dead," and allowed him to watch with me. Talk about confusing.
This conversation had me thinking of "what if," and needing have those types of preparations in place for whenever that time comes. Neither my husband or I have really discussed this, but now is as good of a time as any to start.
Aside, from depressing funeral processions, we did make it to the Christmas Parade, the kids were able to get some candy, and we really enjoyed our afternoon out.
