The best of days is when daddy
decides to stay home. He worked over
Thanksgiving Holiday, and due to those worked days he was entitled to two days
off. He chose this week Thursday & Friday to take off, because there was
nothing to important going on at work that needed him present. Well, when daddy stays home it usually with a
mission, a mission to clear his “honey do” list, golf, fish, hunt, or whatever
daddy wants to do. When daddy is home…
well this momma gets stuff done. It is as though the CEO is visiting, and every
employee underneath this guy is on their BEST behavior, or at least keeping
busy.
That is the type of mode I am in,
for me this Daddy “stay-cay,” I can efficiently get all four, or five loads of
laundry folded and put away, wash and put away dishes, and have the dinner on
the table promptly by six. On any other day I wouldn't begin to start any chore
until I finished my last cup of coffee, which is around … eh… about noon o’clock.
Being time efficient is difficult for me, having the ability to get many things
done, laundry, dishes, and cleaning in a short amount of time is not my trait,
that is how my A.D.D. & I roll.
On the days when the Dad is home
this attribute diminishes and I seem to get plenty of things done. Maybe his presence motivates me to get my chores
done, and I guess every stay–at-home mom has their own way of completing chores,
either more or less efficiently than I do, at some point it all gets done
whether the Daddy is home or not.
